Brooke Edwards, Esq.
Staff Attorney
Brooke grew up in Pasadena, CA with a passion for working with youth. She’s coached youth running and soccer teams, taught creative writing to middle-school students, assisted high-school students with college applications, and served in other youth mentoring roles.
Brooke received her B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania and her J.D. and Master’s in Education from Stanford Law School and the Stanford Graduate School of Education. While in law school, she served on the boards of the Black Law Students Association, Women of Color Collective, and the Youth & Education Advocates. She also was a Senior Editor on the Journal of Civil Rights & Civil Liberties.
Before joining Youth Represent, Brooke worked as a Staff Attorney in the Criminal Defense Practice at The Bronx Defenders providing holistic representation to individuals facing a variety of criminal charges in the Bronx. She also worked as an Investigator for the Children’s Law Center in Washington, D.C. assisting attorneys in abuse and neglect cases.
In her free time, Brooke enjoys writing, playing soccer, running outside (when it’s sunny out), cornhole, and dogs.
