Kyle Ishmael is a founding member of Back Chamber Consulting, predominantly focusing on providing strategy to non-profit clients and has particular expertise in government relations and law. Kyle is a prominent, respected government and politics leader, advancing progressive policies and working to shape the modern Democratic Party. He is the Executive Director of the Manhattan Democratic Party and most recently served as Executive Director of the New York State Black, Puerto Rican, Hispanic and Asian Legislative Caucus for six years – leading the nation’s largest Caucus of its kind through some of New York State’s most recent major legislative victories such as the passage of Paid Family Leave, Foundation Aid, Raise the Age and numerous Justice System reforms, along with the first statewide My Brother’s Keeper Initiative.

Kyle was named a City & State Albany 40 Under 40 Rising Star and was also twice-elected to serve as the Chair of the New York State Young Democrats’ Caucus of Color. Kyle currently sits on the boards of Build the Bench, Edible Schoolyard NYC, and the NEW Pride Agenda. He is a graduate of St. John’s University and Thomas Jefferson School of Law.
