COVID-19 Update

Dear Youth Represent Family,

As we navigate these uncertain and ever changing times, please know that every decision Youth Represent makes is guided by our clients and our core values:

  • youth driven

  • fearless

  • resourceful

  • genuine

Our community-driven model typically brings our staff to meet face-to-face with clients in the neighborhoods where they live. However, to help stop the spread of COVID-19, and in consultation with our community partners, we have suspended all on-site visits, and our staff are telecommuting.

It is the most vulnerable New Yorkers that are hit hardest by a crisis like this one, among them are the system-involved youth of color we are proud to serve. In response, Youth Represent is connecting with our clients through calling, texting, social media, and inviting young people to seek our support through our online Chatbot.

As we further adapt to this changing landscape, we'll be sure to keep you up-to-date on how we meet clients where they are-- and how you can help us help them through this emergency.

On a personal note, I cannot begin to describe how proud I am to work alongside the staff and Board here at Youth Represent. I am honored to be a part of this family, and I wish you and your family health, safety, and security during these unsettling times.
