2023 Resource & Opportunities Fair Event
Our policy team and Youth Committee have been fighting for youth justice this year in the halls of Albany and around the City and State, working to pass the Youth Justice & Opportunities Act and other critical bills. But youth justice isn’t just about passing legislation - it’s about ensuring that young people have the resources and opportunities they need to succeed.
That’s why we are so excited for the Second Annual Youth Resource & Opportunities Fair, hosted by the YJ&O Youth Committee, on Saturday August 12th at Lincoln Terrace Park in Brooklyn.
The fair will include:
Free items for children and families, including school supplies, baby supplies, and hygiene products
Resources + Opportunities for teens and young adults, including information about employment and internship opportunities, community based organizations, and legal services
Activities for youth and young adults
Open mic (rap and poetry)
Information about the Youth Justice & Opportunities Act and how to get involved in the campaign.
