Aaliyah Guillory-Nickens
Campaign Organizer
Aaliyah Guillory-Nickens, Harlem native, has become a prominent advocate for Criminal/Juvenile Justice Reform. She began her advocacy work as a Youth Member on the Leadership Board for Soul Sisters. Here, she organized conferences about issues directly impacting black and brown girls, such as school pushouts and the School to Prison Pipeline. Aaliyah graduated from the Youth Speakers Institute, a ten week training program that taught her how to advocate for change in the Criminal Juvenile Justice System. Following her graduation, she became part of the team advocating for Raise The Age.
Aaliyah also serves as a Youth Member of the NY Justice League/Gathering for Justice and NYS Youth Justice Peer Council. She created her own organization, Coalition of Passionate Youth, after organizing a youth rally in her community to give young people the space to speak out on issues affecting them. Now as Campaign Organizer at Youth Represent, she continues to use her voice to be the change she wishes to see, not only in her community but also in the legal system as she aspires to be a Criminal Defense Attorney.
