Catherine Neuman

Catherine Neuman is a recent graduate from the University of Michigan, where she received her B.A. with distinction in Psychology and minored in Law, Justice, and Social Change. She is passionate about criminal legal reform.
During her academic career, Catherine interned with multiple public defender offices, including the Preliminary Examination & Probable Cause Conference division at the Washtenaw County Office of Public Defender, the Social Work department at the Marion County Public Defender Agency, and the Community Organizing practice at The Bronx Defenders. Additionally, Catherine worked with Citizens for Prison Reform, aiding in the campaign to end solitary confinement in Michigan.
Beyond her internships, Catherine served as Vice President of Programming in Students 4 Decarceration, an organization that advocates for education, community investment, and restorative justice surrounding inequity in the criminal legal system.
